I could use some help

If you’ve been any sort of reader of this site, you know that I’m not some independently-wealthy, landed gentry. No, I’m just a writer who, like most of us, needs to consider how buying classic or deluxe Kraft Mac N’ Cheese will affect my financial outlook in six months.

You’ll also be aware, no doubt, that I’ve sunk too much money into this site without determining how to, you know, make it pay for itself a bit. I tried products (ended up making negative money on that), Google ads (made about $1.65 in a month, though I won’t see it b/c I didn’t hit the threshold), and I’ve tried just, you know, cutting out other stuff in my life. But here we are.

So I’ve made a donation area of the site: https://theaxebadger.com/donate/ . You’ll see a lofty goal and (likely) no donations, so far. It’s kinda a passive thing to maybe offset hosting costs & operational costs (camera stuff, interview stuff, subscriptions to editing software and the like).

I’m not expecting many people to donate — I realize we’re all struggling. But after a few conversations at US Champs, I realized it was silly to not create at least a pathway for help.

So if you can help me out and throw me a few bones to keep the lights on, I’d appreciate it. If not, no worries at all. Maybe I’ll eventually get to a pledge drive sort of thing for one week of the year. Until Then:
